TOO MANY & HARD TO SOLVE
By Simon Ty, Summer 1998.

In six weeks we learned Math 534A;

We tried to absorb every which way.
The special gourmet of the day was functions,
Functions, functions and more functions.

Irrational and rational are relatives of the real,
Equipped with plus and time, live in the Field.
Such P of real yields positivity,
Which has to agree for the completeness.

Sequences after sequences we sent to infinity,
Also with that one we call e.
We also exposed to the Riemann Sum;
By which it implies the F.T.O.C.

Proofs after proofs Dr. Bohner showed and derived,
We sat side by side tried to digest.
For ninety minutes we absorbed each day,
Only to feel overwhelm during the quiz.

Hours after class in conference room,
We teased; we laughed and solved problems;
From Continuity to Intermediate,
From Extreme Value to Means.

Multiple theorems we must retain,
In hoping to gain ground on final;
Then came the exam that tested,
And checked the maze of many minds.

At last out of the maze we escaped,
So, by the gate we say, "Farewell Dr. Bohner
And let it be known that we have been Bohnerized."
Hence we must say, "Good Bye. Good luck to all."
