Missing Home

By Kunthy Kom, 11th grade, Lowell High,
Lowell, Massachusetts

rooster crows in the morning,
rooster crows in the evening,
water buffalo charging for fight,
showing his manhood and enjoying his free time,
cows and oxen wander across the field grazing happily after long days of work,
elders in traditional clothes,
women chewing tobacco, ma-lou, and swapping tales of the day, singing rom-vong and dancing under the moonlight in a peacefull village,

missing home,

missing home.
