My family, night after night when I was to sleep close to

my mother from morning till night my only education was survival in

the "pure society", from morning till night my only

stories of the revolution and the song

of the jungle, from morning till

night my only book was the

forest i had to clear,

the chunk of land i had

to dig. What for? the only

thing I knew was "angkar,"oh
